About Ceramics Workshop Tour

Learn how the oldmasters would make the marvellous majolica ceramics that today are the centre attraction in many museums throughout the world! In groups of 4-8 people you will be able to learn this art in the city of *Deruta*, a picturesque medieval hill town in *Umbria *. In a three day workshop under the guidance of a talented artisan you will be able to create with your very hands figurines, plates or potter in clay, cure it in a kiln and decorate it with colourful glazes . You will learn the fine art of making the famous majolica dishes with their elaborate designs and figures including techniques handed down from generation to generation dating back to the renaissance. All this in the beautiful landscape setting that surrounds this little Italian town
