Considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Venice has a thousand-year history of which remains in the sumptuous palaces, churches and museums. Rich in charm and mystery, the city on the water can be a destination for a romantic holiday, but also for a cultural stay. Its liveliness is expressed through events of international importance, such as the Biennale, the Film Festival and the opera season of the Teatro La Fenice, but also in the Carnival and in the Historical Regatta.
The Grand Canal divides the lagoon city into two, crossing it from north to south with a winding path similar to an overturned "s" and only by navigating it is possible to admire the splendid palaces facing it. For the tour you can choose between different types of boats but, compared to motorboats and the cheapest boat, the Gondola is certainly the most suitable means, because it allows you to contemplate the magnificent facades without haste, appreciating the play of light to the continuous changing of the reflections of water.
The island of San Giorgio is an excellent vantage point to admire Venice: the churches and the sumptuous palaces seem to rise from the waters of the San Marco Canal. From here stands Palazzo Ducale, one of the greatest expressions of Venetian art, the Clock Tower, on top of which the characteristic statues of the two Moors stand out, and the Campanile di San Marco.
